IN REAL LIFE – Intro to Longform Improv Comedy – Performance Course – CPD Accredited

About this event

Level 2 of The Maydays longform improvised comedy courses

In this Level 2 performance longform improvisation course, the emphasis remains away from shortform games and towards a more fluid and versatile kind of improvised comedy and theatre, just like the Maydays perform themselves. We teach you techniques to create whole shows from a simple one-word suggestion, a monologue, or a newspaper article.

You’ll learn how to create longer, more subtle and detailed scenes and explore a much wider range of improv possibilities.

The course culminates in a performance showcase for friends and family on Monday 25th July at the Lantern Theatre in Brighton.

Who is this course suitable for?

  • Adults aged 18 – 100

  • Those who are graduates of Maydays level 1 (or equivalent).

  • Those with some acting experience.

Min. participants 6, Max. 16.

If we have to cancel the event due to low numbers, we will do this with 24hours notice (and you will receive a warning 48 hours before the course if this looks likely).

You could not make a life choice with a more watertight guarantee of a positive outcome. Do it!
