Online Women’s Workshop: Inspired Improv
About this event
Women’s workshops are an open and supportive creative space. We use an inclusive definition of “woman” and “female” and we welcome genderqueer women and non-binary people who are significantly female-identified. We encourage participants to come and be bold and fearless and meet other dynamic women from across the world.
These workshops run once a month, and they are stand-alone, so you can book one or come along every time. Each workshop is taught by a different teacher and focuses on a specific area of improvisation or performance, and we have some exciting people lined up over the coming months!
Improv comedy training encourages thinking at lightning speed, collaboration, getting out of your own way without being a perfectionist. In this inspiring session, participants will learn techniques to eliminate self-sabotaging behaviours, find their authentic voice, discover their inner creative genius and work towards igniting a future vision for themselves. Prepare to leave this session touched, moved, inspired and ready to live in your full power.
What to expect:
- Eliminate self-sabotaging behaviour
- Find your authentic voice
- Ignite your future vision

Nursery/Maydays Sunday Classes
We work hard to provide a welcoming environment for all improvisers. In order to give space to different experiences and identities, the Nursery and the Maydays have worked to provide opportunities for specific groups to meet, connect, and improvise with one another. Each workshop will cover different topics depending on the instructor. Sometimes sessions will be aimed at particular skills, issues and questions, and other times they will simply be a place for people to come together and play.
The Nursery and the Maydays are constantly working to create programming based on the needs of our current students and the global improv community. If there is an underrepresented group that you would like to see have a workshop, send an email.
Min. participants 6, max. 12. If we have to cancel the event due to low numbers, we will do this with 24hours notice (and you will receive a warning 48 hours before the course if this looks likely).
