Positivity & Happiness Training

It is time to take play seriously. The problem with optimising organisations and the micro processes within them is that we risk eradicating some of the happiness too.

Book The Maydays to provide you with some happiness and positivity, and you’ll get more of it than you ever imagined.

We work at a number of levels when we deliver an improvisation session with the pure objective of promoting happiness at work. We ensure everyone is going to laugh a lot but we also work at deeper levels – around self-confidence (particularly for your more introverted members) and in building feelings of togetherness.

Typical take-outs
  • A break from personal and professional issues, and time out just to relax and let go

  • The feeling of being a valued member of the group with something to contribute and much to celebrate

  • About half a day spent laughing. Aching faces the next day is guaranteed.

Delivery suggestions

Maydays Pure Business Improv Training
We give you two trainers per group of 10-20 delegates and deliver an improvisation training session which is all about exploration and seeing the funny side. We will design a series of improv activities to bring about a state change in how your delegates collaborate together.
(2 – 6 hours per session)

Maydays Improv and Show Experience
Probably our most popular format, we start with an introduction to improvisation and we quickly get people up and active, developing improvisation skills. You’ll see energy levels soar as people engage and relax. Then to top it off, your delegates will find them volunteering to perform alongside The Maydays on stage and (in all honesty) stealing the show. This is a great format to really build confidence and help your people reconnect and find happiness in a work context. The Maydays help to create a highly memorable moment.  20 – 70 delegates at a time.
(45 mins – 6 hours per session)

Interactive Improv Keynote
For larger audiences where it simply isn’t logistically possible to deliver improv training in smaller groups, we blend a keynote style address with plenty of experiential learning. This works easily for 1000 delegates and more. We have delivered this format to 6,000 people in a (very big) room.  In the context of workplace happiness and positivity, the interactive improv keynote will get your people engaging in new ways and sharing laughter to form new bonds. The bigger the group, the more spine-tingling and exciting the outcome.
(30 mins – 1 hour)

Conference Improv Energiser
A lively, totally experiential and interactive energiser to get people up and active. We’ll select an improv game from our list of around 150 different activities, then lead the energiser to its natural, uplifting, hilarious conclusion. We usually deliver these sessions to up to 1,000 delegates, but there’s no actual upper limit.
(5 minutes – 20 minutes)

Your Organisation – The Musical Show
Want to showcase innovation in a creative, unforgettable way? Invite us back for the evening slot, and we’ll put on a show like no other. The Maydays will perform a mind-blowing, totally improvised musical show based on a storyline your delegates give us on the night and drawing on the theme of your conference or event. Usually from 100 to 500 delegates.
(10 minutes – 1 hour)

Your own thing
There is nothing we can’t do around the subject of improvisation and improvised performance. We can give you a Whose Line Is It Anyway-style show based on audience suggestions, or create a spectacle based on your brochures and publications! Put us to the test with your own ideas, and we’ll propose a winning solution.

How to book

Contact us to tell us more about your plans and projects. If you have identified a training event already, it would help us to know the date and duration you have in mind, the number of delegates you would like to train and any specific issues you’d like to address. We’ll then arrange a Skype or phone call to go through your details and suggest some solutions. If you like what we have to say we’ll send you a full written proposal within a couple of days.
