Confessions takes audience stories and secrets written down before the show starts and turns them into songs, sketches and beguiling stories. Expect, secrets, lies & guilt.
Having seen The Maydays before, I knew we were in for a treat. Only this time, the current cast blew everyone away with a more slick format to their shows and made no pretence about their shows being full of crazy antics, which were based on anonymous audience confessions. Themes ranged from stealing sweets, indirect mafia connections, pumpkin pranks gone wrong and accidentally setting a golf green alight. All these were beautifully brought to life by jokes, songs and loads of interaction with the audience. The Maydays are a troupe to watch out for if you love daring improvisational comedy.
