Award-winning improvisers The Maydays return to Hoopla with their 5-star show: a darkly comedic, twisted musical tale spun from gothic themes and warped fairy tales.
Starting from one audience suggestion, the cast conjures a gothic story, with song and music that’s equal parts eerie and hilarious, and always utterly unpredictable. Strange characters lurk around every corner, things are rarely what they seem, and something is definitely not quite right. It’s all brought to life with a fully improvised live soundtrack that shifts and swells with the story as it unfolds.
The Maydays have packed houses and earned standing ovations with this five-star show over ten years at improv festivals across the UK and Europe, building its reputation as a show you should not miss. Expect a creepy, mischievous, and thoroughly fantastical hour of theatre, where nothing is scripted.
Whether you’re after a dark thrill or just a brilliantly funny night out, this is the perfect way to spend your Halloween weekend. Come and see where the story takes you…
