What are you most looking forward to at MIR22?
Smiles and joy and the wonder of being with people who all love improv.
What advice would you give to complete newbies to our retreats?
Find your comfort level. Know when you feel able to push that boundary and be OK with yourself if you don’t at that point in time, feel you can move outside your comfort zone. Know The Maydays want you to succeed in any endeavour you want to take up and will wholeheartedly be there with you every step of the way.
Which Mayday is the messiest to room with?
I’d guess Jen Rowe. I just imagine rooming with Jen would be an adventure in costumes and scripts surrounding everything.
Which Mayday is tidiest to room with?
Rhi strikes me as the tidy person who has found all available space in any room with which you can hide any number of items, I think Rhi could turn anything into the carpet bag belonging to Mary Poppins.
Give one stand-out experience from previous years
Watching Liz and Rebecca walk up and down improv staircases arm in arm was a masterclass in commitment and object work.
How would you sum up The Maydays retreat experience in 3 words?
